“My husband was amazed at your artistic version of his PhD and we have both enjoyed it in repeated episodes. I notice something new every time I look at it. My husband couldn't get over how you had managed to identify such core and central ideas in his thesis - I was interrogated about how much briefing I gave you! 

For my part, I think it stands as a powerful piece quite independently of the PhD - it is intriguing and stimulating even without knowing any thing about the work that inspired it.
